Somerset Hills is among the very best and most respected golf facilities in the region. Their understated charm has endeared its members for generations. As membership demographics began to evolve, it became apparent that there was a need for improvements to the existing limited dining and bar area.
With no opportunity to extend beyond the existing building footprint, the challenge was to reinvent the dining room, add a proper bar with seats and better connect with outdoor dining while still allowing the space the flexibility to serve its varied utilization needs. Through some creative space re-allocation and the willingness on the part of the club to think dynamically, the club was able to meet all of their needs in an exciting new space and has been overwhelmingly accepted by its membership.
The subtle design characteristics of the space reflect the rich history of the club while still appealing to a broader membership. The space supports all types of member dining needs and can be reconfigured for special uses.
